Lifts in the 400-tonne range are carried out with the Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1, rated at 500 tonnes. There is no machine badged as 400 tonnes — manufacturers do not build that class — and at this scale spare capacity is essential: loads measured in hundreds of tonnes are handled at long radius, where actual capacity is far below the nominal figure.

We do not operate a machine badged as 400 tonnes — we carry out such work with a crane rated at 500 tonnes. The spare capacity is not waste: capacity falls as the distance from the slewing axis grows, so a larger machine provides the margin needed to work at radius.
Every machine is hired together with an experienced operator.
