13 tonne crane hire

Mobile crane 35T

Carried out with a crane rated at: 35T

Lifting 13 tonnes is a job for the smallest machines in our fleet. In practice a crane is almost never picked to the exact figure — weight is only half the equation, the other half is the distance you have to reach. That is why a 13-tonne load gets a 35-tonne machine: it gives the margin needed to work at radius and avoids having to set up right next to the load.

  • Maximum reach in this class: 40m
  • Maximum lifting height in this class: 46m
  • Machines available in this class: 3

We do not operate a machine badged as 13 tonnes — we carry out such work with a crane rated at 35 tonnes. The spare capacity is not waste: capacity falls as the distance from the slewing axis grows, so a larger machine provides the margin needed to work at radius.

Every machine is hired together with an experienced operator.

Typical applications

  • unloading machinery and materials from trailers
  • lifting heat pumps, air conditioning units and air handling units onto roofs
  • installing precast elements on residential plots
  • placing tanks and domestic installations
  • short installation jobs lasting a few hours

What we need to prepare a quote

  • weight and dimensions of the load
  • distance from the crane set-up point to the installation point
  • height the load has to be lifted to
  • address and access conditions (road width, ground bearing capacity)
  • planned date and estimated duration of the work
